Morton iOFIXT Trace Mineralized Salt is red in color and a mixture of salt with six basic trace minerals commonly supplemented in livestock diets: cobalt, copper, iodine, iron, manganese, and zinc. This salt is intended for animal feeding only and specifically for free-choice feeding in feedlots on pastures or ranges where grain, forage and water is deficient in sodium chloride and the six basic minerals. These minerals play a key role in promoting growth, reproduction, milk and wool production, and general well-being of livestock. In addition, cattle can smell sodium, allowing them to be herded by its placement. The salt also confers an important sanitary benefit as in their absence, salt-craving range animals will lick rocks, soil, various vegetation, and even manure and urine to fill their appetite.
